56. D.在運動中對其他的選手,即對手當然是insults(辱罵/侮辱的言行)。
look up to是“尊重”的意思,make up for是“彌補,補償”的意思,come up with是“提出,提供,趕上”的意思,都不合句意。
in all是“總共”,in return是“作為報答,作為回報”,in advance是“提前”的意思,都不合此處意思。
63. D.enjoy oneself

Adults think playing sports is good for children because it is fun and helps children keep in shape and even develop their social skills when they play with others. However, playing sports can have bad effects on children. It may produce feelings of poor self-esteem(自負) or aggressive(好斗的) behavior in some children. According to research on kids and sports, 20 million out of the 40 million kids who play sports in the US say they have been shouted loudly at or called names while playing sports. Thus, many children think sports are just too aggressive.
Many researchers believe adults, especially parents and coaches whom children usually admire, are the main cause of too much aggression in children's sports. They think children copy aggressive adult behavior that is then further reinforced(加強) through both good and bad feedback(回饋). Often these adults behave aggressively themselves, sending children the message that winning is everything. Children are even taught that hurting other players is acceptable, or are pushed to continue playing even when they are injured.
To solve this problem, parents and coaches should act as better examples for children and teach them better values. They should not just cheer when children win or act aggressively. Instead, they should teach children to enjoy themselves whether they win or not. It is not necessary to knock oneself out to enjoy sports. If people make some basic changes, children might learn to enjoy sports again.

People think children should play sports.Sports are fun, and it can help children keep healthy while they are playing with others. 1 It may produce feelings of poor self-respect or aggressive behavior in some children.According to the research on kids and sports, 40,000,000 kids play sports in the USA.Of these, 18,000,000 say they have been shouted at or called names while playing sports. This leaves many children with a bad impression on sports. They think sports are just too aggressive.
Many researchers believe adults, especially parents and coaches, are the main cause of too much aggression in children's sports. 2 This behavior is then further strengthened through both positive and negative feedback.Parents and coaches are powerful teachers because children usually look up to them.Often these adults behave aggressively themselves, sending children the message that winning is everything. Many parents go to children's sporting events and shout insults at other players or cheer when their children behave aggressively. As well, children are even taught that hurting other players is acceptable or are pushed to continue playing even when they are injured. 3 In addition, the media make violence seem exciting.
Nowdays, we really need to face up to this problem and do something about it. 4 They also need to teach children better values. They should not just cheer when children win or act aggressively. They should teach children to enjoy themselves whether they win or not. 5 If adults allow children to play when injured, this gives the message that health is not as important as winning.
