　　The Americans believe that anybody can become President of the United States．In a recent Hollywood comedy(喜劇), that is exactly what happens．

　　Dave Kovic, played by Kevin Kline, is a kind-hearted man who runs a business that finds people jobs．He leads a typical(典型的)American way of life, except for one thing－h(huán)e looks exactly like the President, Bill Mitchell．In fact, the only thing that makes him different from the nation's leader is that he is very nice!

　　Director Ivan Reitman, who made the popular and successful comedies like Twins, Ghostbusters and Legal Eagles, could have gone for easy laughs by making fun of the American government．Instead, Dave is an attractive comedy about an ordinary man in extraordinary situations．Kevin Kline gives a double performance as Dave and the President, and Sigourney Weaver is at her best as his First Lady．The love story that develops between her role and Dave is a real classic(經(jīng)典)．

　　In ancient Greece the most famous festival for athletes was the Olympic Games．These games took their name from the religious(宗教信仰的)centre of Olympus, in southern Greece．The Games were held every four years at the end of June．Athletes, judges and spectators came from all over the known world to watch and compete．

　　After a solemn(神圣的)opening ceremony, the first event was the four－h(huán)orse chariot(戰(zhàn)車)race．As many as forty chariots thundered round and round the stadium．Because of collisions(碰撞)，and the strain of covering the nine－mile race, very few chariots ever finished the race．Winning it was a great honour．At the Olympic Games there were also races on foot, horse races, wrestling, boxing matches and the pentathlon．
