I sometimes argue with my mother about if I can watch TV after school. She holds the
view which Senior students have to devote all their time to work hard at their lessons. It
seems to me that once I allowed to do that, I’ll be unable to control me and forget all about
my study .She also thinks it is bad for my eye. Actually I quite understand her, but I really
couldn’t accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day’s hard

When I was a child, my mom was pushed me to study hard, hoping I could get a
chance to go to college. I experience pressure for the first time. I did that my mom
expected because I didn’t want to let her off. I was born into a poor peasant family,
but I really knew life was not easy. All the things my mother did was the result of
her hope that I could lead better life in the future. As the saying go, “ No pains, no
gains.” I was finally able to meet my mother expectations and had a chance to go
to college. Thanks to my mother’s push and the pressure, I made it. Now, I no
longer think pressure is a good thing.
