   About 35% of the students believe the choice should be based on their own interests. They say interest is the mother of success. It is a miserable thing to have to spend most of your time studying what you have no interest in.

Most of the students（around 45%）, however, insist that main consideration should be given to the needs of our society, for, they argue, not everyone can find the job they like best. Besides, interest is not something unchangeable. We can always develop it and foster it.
