My summer travel started terribly. I was at the Shanghai Railway Station buy a ticket to Hang Zhou. I was going to visit a friend here and after that I would go to Xiamen for long holiday. I bought my ticket but turned around to pick up my bag from the floor and then I realized that someone had stolen it. Luckily I had all my money on my pocket, but the only clothes I had was those I had on. It felt very strange to travel without any luggages. When I finally arrived at my friend, he lent to me lots of clothes. I feel very happy that I could change my clothes at last.

小題2:here改為there
小題3:for后面加a
小題4:but改為and
小題5:on改為in
小題6:was改為were

小題5:on改為in      固定搭配“在口袋里”in the pocket。
小題6:was改為were   本句的主語是the only clothes,該結(jié)構(gòu)做主語時,謂語動詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式。
小題8:friend改為friend’s 固定搭配at my friend’s在朋友家里。
小題9:去掉to           動詞lend后面要接雙賓語lend sb sth="lend" sth to sb把某物借給某人。

A. Education yourself in a long-term way.
B. Save up for retirement.
C. Work towards a goal.
D. Spend money carefully to get long pleasure.
E. Wise investment can make your life different.
F. Develop lasting personal relationship.
1.______
We all want to buy a new piece of electronic product, spend an expensive night in town, or take a loan for the good-looking care we can’t afford in order to make ourselves happy. You might feel great when you get those things, but later rash(輕率的) spending will hurt you a lot. Because expensive things don’t create lasting happiness and security. Careful spending will bring you great enjoyment in the future.
2._______
Wise investing is also something everyone can work on to live happily. It even can make a big difference when they retire between their 40’s and their 60’s. For example, if a person in his early 20’s invests 20% of his income in a fund(基金), the interest he earns will equal his current salary when he reaches his early 40’s. He could retire without a drop in income!
3._______
To be happy, we need continuous growth. The best way to grow is life-long education. This doesn’t mean you need to spend 2 hours reading every day. What you need is just to keep an open mind and search for fresh ideas. Education builds over time. You might think that the bits of wisdom you acquire every day don’t mean much, but over the years they will add up to make you a wiser person.
4. ________
The personal relationships we develop with friends and family members are the greatest source of happiness in our lives. Don’t forget them. Taking some time to build and enjoy personal relationships is essential to long-term happiness. No matter how successful you are, you’ll probably be miserable without the people you care about.
5.________
If you always feel unhappy and think your life is terrible, try to set a goal which interests you a lot. We can’t control everything in our lives, but working towards a goal gives us something positive to focus on and lays the foundation for the future success.

Last Sunday my father and I went fishing along a river. We found the water very dirty that we could hardly catch any fish in it. A lot of factories along the river always poured their waste water and rubbish straightly into the river, which made the river polluting. In this way most of the fish in the river was killed. Unless the rivers all over the country are polluted like this, no living things will be exist in the water. As we all know, environmental pollution do great harm to living things and human beings. Now more and more people have realized what serious this problem is. Our government is doing her best to take measure to fight against pollution. We expect that water in every river will be made cleaner and cleaner before long.

There are many destructive (破壞性的) forces when it comes to nature, which have destroyed whole cities and killed many people. They’re really terrible, but they occur somewhat often, and this is why you see so many charities these days which focus their efforts on helping people who have been affected by natural disasters.
While the world is a very beautiful place to live in, there will always be parts of the world where natural disasters happen more often than in other places, where properties and lives are destroyed. Only the people who live in the country where tsunamis and earthquakes as well as other disasters occur experience these, and we can only imagine the suffering that they go through.
For some people out there, the world is cruel, but they have no choice but to stay where they are. A lot of the time people simply cannot afford to move away, as they might not be able to get a job when they leave.
In 2004, there was a tsunami in the Indian Ocean. A tsunami is a large wave that towers hundreds of feet into the air, and covers whole areas when it comes crashing down on to dry land. This particular tsunami was caused by an earthquake that happened in the middle of the sea, shooting the water away from the ground and towards dry land. This tsunami actually reached thirty meters in height, and was one of the worst tidal waves the world has ever seen. Over 200,000 people were hurt in the disaster.
In 2005, we also saw a hurricane happened in the United States. This hurricane was known as hurricane Katrina, and is perhaps the worst in the history of the world. It happened in 2005 and destroyed millions of properties in the area. It also took the lives of nearly 2,000 American people. It was known that for ten days, the wind swept through the area, meaning the most powerful country in the world became helpless in their attempts to save the people who were affected by the hurricane.
Finally, in 2008 we saw yet another natural disaster. This time it was a cyclone (旋風(fēng)), which is similar to a hurricane but happens in a circular motion (圓周運動). This cyclone Nargis had been one of the strongest to have ever occurred, reaching a death toll of nearly 150,000 people.
All of these were terrible disasters that were unavoidable.

Some time ago I discovered that one of my chairs had a broken leg. I didn’t think there would be any difficulty in getting it mended, as there are a whole lot of antique(古董) shops near my home. So I left home one morning carrying the chair with me. I went into the first shop expecting a friendly reception. I was quite wrong. The man wouldn’t even look at my chair.
The second shop, though slightly more polite, was just the same, and the third and the fourth, so I decided that my approach must be wrong, and I should try another way.
I entered the fifth shop with a plan in my mind. I placed the chair on the floor and said to the shopkeeper,” “Would you like to buy a chair?” He looked it over carefully and said, “Yes, not a bad chair. How much do you want for it, sir?” “Twenty pounds,” I said. “OK,” he said, “I’ll give you twenty pounds.” “It’s got a slightly broken leg,” I said. “Yes, I saw that, it’s nothing.”
Everything was going according to plan and I was getting excited. “What will you do with it?” I asked. “Oh, it will be easy to sell once the repair is done.” “I’ll buy it,” I said. “What do you mean? You’ve just sold it to me,” he said. “Yes, I know but I’ve changed my mind. I am sorry. I’ll give you twenty-seven pounds for it.” “ You must be crazy,” he said. Then, suddenly the penny dropped. “I know what you want. You want me to repair your chair.” “You’re right,” I said. “And what would you have done if I had walked in and said, “Would you mend this chair for me?” “I wouldn’t have agreed to do it,” he said. “We don’t do repairs, not enough money in it and too much trouble. But I’ll mend this for you, shall we say for a fiver(五英鎊鈔票)?” He was a very nice man and was greatly amused by the whole thing.
