The students in our class took part in an activity of “Experience a Low-carbon Day” at the weekend.

In the morning, we went to the park by bus instead of by car, which means choosing a low-carbon transportation. At noon, when having lunch in a restaurant, we refused to use the disposable chopsticks served there. Instead, we each took with us a pair of chopsticks. Besides, to avoid the damage of plastic bags, we carried environmentally friendly bags with us when shopping in the afternoon. We didn’t come home until late in the evening. Being extremely hot, we used electrical fans to cool ourselves down rather than air-conditioners.

I think what we did on that day was meaningful, which helped us form a good habit. Also, we should call on the people around us to take action. Only with joint efforts can we create a better world.
