Zhalong Nature Reserve is in Heilongjiang. ⁽⁵¹⁾S ， the wetland got smaller and smaller during some years. Zhalong Wetland is the ⁽⁵⁴⁾1 of its kind in China and home to lots of endangered animals and plants. Zhalong Nature Reserve was set up in 1979. It is one of the seven wetlands in China that have been put onto the ⁽⁵⁵⁾1 of Wetlands of International Importance. People can find around 500 kinds of ⁽⁵⁶⁾p and 300 species (種類)of animals in the reserve. It is very famous for the red-crowned cranes. There are about 2,000 red-crowned cranes in the world. More than 400 live in Zhalong. Before 2010, there were 13 villages with 1,200 ⁽⁵⁷⁾ f living in Zhalong. Many local people went fishing. Fishing took food from the cranes. Moreover,some people got money by cutting and ⁽⁵⁸⁾s wetland reeds (蘆葦). This left the cranes ⁽⁵⁹⁾n to hide. So,the government decided to ⁽⁶⁰⁾s these problems.
