　　When you turn on the TV, you can see lots of ads on it．Some of them tell us what is the best and cheapest．But some of them about children are the opposite．

　　Most ads of eating and drinking tell children to imitate what the children do on TV．So they don’t like to eat healthy foods like rice and vegetables．These foods are very important for their growth．

　　Some doctors say to parents that letting their children drink too much Coca Cola and soft drinks is not helpful．

　　In Canada and the United States, People enjoy entertaining(請客)at home．They often invite friends over for a meal, a party, or just for coffee and conversation．

　　Here are the kinds of things people say when they invite someone to their home：

　　“Would you like to come over for dinner Saturday night?”

　　“Hey, we’re having a party on Friday．Can you come?”

　　To reply to an invitation, either say thank you and accept, or say you’re sorry and give an excuse：

　　“Thanks, I’d love to．What time would you like me to come?” or “Oh, sorry, I’ve tickets for a movie．”

　　Sometimes, however, people use expressions that sound like invitations but which are not real invitations．For example：

　　“Please come over for a drink sometime．”

　　“Why not get together for a party sometime?”

　　“Why don’t you come over and see us sometime soon?”

　　They are really just polite ways of ending a conversation．They are not real invitations because they don’t mention a specific(確定的)time or date．They just show that the person is trying to be friendly．To reply expressions like these, people just say “Sure, that would be great!” or “OK．Yes, thanks．”

　　So next time when you hear what sounds like an invitation, listen carefully．Is it a real invitaion or is the person just being friendly?

　　At twenty eight he moved to London and joined a theatre company which opened the Globe Theatre in 1599．He became an actor，and he also wrote plays．He usually acted in his own plays．He earned almost no money from his writting．But he made a lot of money from acting．With the money he bought a large house in his hometown．

　　At the age of forty nine, Shakespeare retired(退休)and went to live in Stratford upon Avon．He died at the age of fifty two．He left his money to his family．He left his genius to the world．You still see his plays in English and in many other languages．He is one of the most famous writers in the world．
