　　Mr Green looked at the clock on the wall and found his watch was slow．He hurried off．When he got to the station, the train was leaving．He took off his old shoes and threw them to his friend and quickly got on the train before it started．He found a seat and was going to put on his clean shoes．Bad luck!He's forgotten to put them into his bag．

　　The man looked at the letter for a long time．“I will give you two pounds for it,”he said at last．

　　“Only two pounds?”said Grant．“But people pay ten pounds for a letter like this．And just look!I have even cleaned it to make it look nice．”

　　“I can see that,”said the man．“That's the trouble people who buy old papers like them to be dirty．”
