　　“Why can birds fly? Even a fly can fly. Why should these small living things have wings and be able to fly but we men can't?”

　　The man who was asking the questions didn't look like a teacher. His students weren't in a classroom. They were standing outdoors listening to him talk. But he was a teacher, a very great teacher. His name was Socrates. He lived in the Greek city of Athens (希臘雅典) long, long ago. He wore old woolen clothes. He never wore shoes no matter how rainy or cold the weather was.
